JAA Professional Course

Skymates, along with our international partner Egnatia Aviation is pleased to offer a complete, affordable and quick program that will allow you to obtain a JAA “Frozen” ATPL starting from “zero”. If you already have previous flight experience, our course can be customized to meet any need.

Skymates has been in business for over 15 years and is an FAA approved Part 141 Flight School and trained thousand of pilots. At the present time we are offering a program which are structured in two different phases between our location in Texas (USA) and Egnatia Aviation in Greece. The total duration of the course starting from “zero”, is about 12 months and about 9-10 for those who already possess an ICAO PPL.

Phase 1 (Texas)

This first part of the training is conducted in our facilities in Arlington, Texas. The
course is designed to take about 6-8 months and will take you from “zero” to 250
hours with FAA Commercial Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings. The Initial Course is
the FAA PPL, Instrument Rating follows and the CPL Course with multi engine rating
will complete this phase.

Phase 2 (Greece)

This phase is conducted at Egnatia Aviation in Greece and it includes JAA “frozen”
ATPL full time ground school for about 350 hours and the flight portion for the JAA
conversion. Experienced instructors, modern aircraft, and beautiful Greek weather
make their facilities the best option for FAA to JAA conversions. The duration of this
phase is about 4-5 months.

The above training package includes:

All the necessary practical and theoretical full time training (aircraft and instructor)
All the necessary practical and theoretical examination fees
All the necessary equipment for both theoretical and practical training
Shared accommodation for the duration of the training at Keramoti.
Transportation between the accommodation and the airport
All applicable taxes and charges.
Students Pick up on their arrival from Thessaloniki or Istanbul Airport providing that they arrive
as a group.

It does not include:

JAR-FCL 3 Class 1 Medical Certificate (The price in Greece is approximately €450) We can
arrange group visits to the AMC at Thessaloniki for no extra cost for the transposrtation.
Food and drink during their stay in Kavala
Accommodation during their stay in Athens for the ATPL official theoretical examination
Transportation between Kavala and Athens for the ATPL official theoretical examination
Air Tickets between Home Country and Greece
