The Course

At the present time Skymates is offering the JAA PPL through conversion in conjuction with our partner CATS here in the United States.

Conversion of your ICAO (FAA for example) PPL license to a JAA PPL will be based upon you completing the following after obtaining a FAA Private Pilot License:

• Pass the Class 2 JAA Medical Exam.
• Pass ALL 7 JAA Private Pilots Theory exams.
• Pass the Radio Telephony operators practical test.
• Pass the PPL Skills test

If you have more than 100 hours tota flight time you will be only required:

• Pass the Class 2 JAA Medical exam (this can be completed in the USA).
• Pass the Human Performance & limitations, Air Law, and Radio Telephony JAA Private Pilots Theory exams
• Pass the Radio Telephony operators practical test Pass the PPL Skills test

All exams are taken at CATS facilities in Arlington, Texas, USA.
